21 Y 22 DE JUNIO - MADRID 2024

Charlotte Adigéry

Charlotte Adigéry is a great storyteller. She produces dance music and sweet pop while enjoying her own curious and playful world.

Charlotte is Belgian, a descendant of a Yoruba Nigerian tribe from Martinique island. The Dewaele brothers, aka Soulwax, encouraged her to work alongside Bolis Popul, producer and descendant of a wave of Chinese immigrants from that Caribbean island. Coincidence? Yes, but this led them to share joint stories and heartfelt confessions that leak into Zandoli (DEEWEE, 2019), her second EP. In it, Charlotte explores what it means to be a woman of Caribbean heritage in Belgium.

An overriding creative freedom, impossible to pigeonhole, steers an explosive and hypnotic live show, an intimate and personal territory. For the first time in Madrid, Charlotte comes to show us why everyone around her is so pumped up. Don’t miss the opportunity to check it out next June at Paraíso.

Bufiman

Jan Schulte has a lot of people talking because, in recent years, this producer and implacable selector has succeeded in making the decks shine enough to dazzle the most demanding dancefloors.

While employing the unexpected as a common thread under his pseudonym Bufiman, he lightly hops from genre to genre and from decade to decade, from African-inspired krautrock to forgotten B-side tracks.

Bufiman will bring a suitcase loaded with tribal gems and pleasant surprises of transy house, disco and breakbeat to Paraíso 2020. His plan? To hypnotize us with a set guided by his restless adventurous spirit, organic sounds and percussive rhythms. Put up as much resistance as you like; it won’t help.

Bcosof Live Remixes (Pedro D. & Suso Saiz)

Pedro D. is the founding artist of the Bcosof project and a member of the Real no Real collective. He collaborates with one of the most respected and admired personalities in the Spanish music industry, Suso Saiz, who’s been deepening his musical knowledge since the 70’s and composing pieces ranging from jazz to rock, electroacoustic music and ambient. He’s also just released his new album Nothing is Objective (Music From Memory, 2019).

Their collaboration began when Pedro discovered unreleased recordings by Suso. Then a process started in which Pedro digitized and put images to Suso’s sound, which resulted in live shows feeding on a collection of unpublished tracks: music to move your body or your mind, depending on the occasion.

Juanito Jones

Juanito is co-founder of bwelke, a creative agency responsible for devising experiences, events and parties. In addition, no venue in Madrid can resist him: Café Berlin, Café la Palma, Sala Sol and Sala Caracol are some of those that have fallen for his charms.

Juanito Jones’ sets are trips to unknown destinations. If you ask him what his style is, he has a clear answer: “Surprise!”.

El Cuerpo del Disco

Yayo & Eloi are El Cuerpo del Disco. They grew up surrounded by decks and records, which is why their name mentions the music with which it all began for this duo.

Along the way, these brothers have opened up their sound to the entire spectrum of electronica, while revolving around the same axis: dance music, night culture and the nightclub as the greatest place for good times.

Listening to new music and buying records form part of this duo’s routine meaning they can always offer fresh and eclectic sets full of groove, where what matters most is the audience and the energy on the dance floor.

Dos Doggos

Dos Doggos is the project formed by Pablo Losa (DJ Feet) and Alejandro de Miguel (WSB), who was the curator of the now-defunct Limbo session, the musical events of the cultural platform Undermad and Programa de Baile Espacial.

They both programme the schedule of the experimental radio station Radio Relativa, a broadcasting platform devoted to the cultural concerns of the new generations, both in Spain and abroad.

Estatua de la Libertad

Estatua de la Libertad is a fundamental piece of the Unlocked Youth platform, the experimental radio station Radio Relativa and the collective Real no Real.

Passionate about percussion in all its forms and genres, she explores the limits and frontiers of Latin music, establishes relationships between disparate styles and generates a powerful electronic expression. A set to listen to with all your senses at attention.

Guacamayo Tropical DJs

This Madrid-based Colombian duo has been spreading cumbia, love and joy on dance floors and in clubs for over eight years. Devotees of sound production and interested in Latin American culture, they rescue and disseminate ancestral gems to fuse them with contemporary rhythms.

For David and Andrés, music is a liberating element, capable of diluting any negative vibe. Proof of this are the fun sets we’ve grown accustomed to, where resistance from any hips is futile. Attempting the opposite would be going against nature.

Jackwasfaster

Madrid-based Manu Cachero hides his passion for electronic music under the alias Jackwasfaster: this producer’s most synthetic and analogical side where he unleashes an imposing cosmos of deep house, dark balearic, post-punk heritage and crude acid.

After his time at the Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp in Madrid in 2015, Jackwasfaster became one of the biggest icons of the Spanish underground scene. His is a sound which can’t go unnoticed.

In his live sets, Jackwasfaster focuses on exploring that peculiar common space where introspection and collective enthusiasm dance to the same beat.

Moscoman

There’s a group of musicians whose influence transcends in time due to their involvement in the development and blooming of new scenes and club culture. This is the case of Israeli DJ and producer Chen Moscovici, better known as Moscoman.

He was a pioneer in conquering European dance floors and releasing his work on foreign labels, paving the way for those who would come after. Subsequently, with his label, Disco Halal, he’s built a family that treasures the sounds of this new wave of talent.

Although Moscoman moved his base from Israel to Berlin, the musician’s roots have never disappeared and are, in fact, one of his greatest distinguishing features. Since his beginnings in the clubs of Tel Aviv, Moscoman has combined part of his homeland acoustic folklore and extraterrestrial incursions into new wave, house, techno or trance, sounds with which he has driven half the world’s dance floors crazy to the rhythm of the Middle East. Next stop: Paraíso 2019.
