We want to work to progressively minimize the event\u2019s footprint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TWe encourage you to follow these simple <a href=\"#recomendaciones\">recommendations<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong><strong>OUR LINES OF WORK:<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>AWARENESS RAISING&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>We design communication actions with the aim of raising awareness about the impact generated by the festival itself and how to contribute to its reduction.&nbsp;<\/li><li>We know that non-controlled cotton production can have a negative impact, so all the t-shirts you can buy at the Para\u00edso Store will be made of organic cotton.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>We work in collaboration with the Technical Unit of Maintenance of Green Areas of the University to ensure the protection and care of the natural elements that make up the festival site. Your collaboration is also important.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>You can find out about the different ways to get to the festival through our <strong>website <\/strong>and social networks. We recommend using public transport, and especially the Metro: Ciudad Universitaria station is right at the entrance of the festival site.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>HEALTHY LOCAL FOOD OPTIONS<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>At Para\u00edso you will be able to enjoy healthy and quality food, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. The use of local and seasonal products will be highly encouraged, and it will be served with biodegradable dishes, cutlery and packaging.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>ENERGY EFFICIENCY<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>In the first edition we carried out an audit in which we analysed the energy consumption parameters of the event, collecting data on the equipment and its use, which has allowed us to improve the energy efficiency of Para\u00edso in each edition.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>MINIMISATION OF PLASTIC USE<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>By using eco-cups we will significantly reduce the generation of plastic waste.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>WASTE MANAGEMENT<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>So that you can enjoy facilities in top condition and rest assured that your waste is properly managed, Ephymera Sostenibilidad will take care of the designing, planning and implementation of the strategy for cleaning and selective collection.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>CARBON OFFSETTING AND REFORESTATION<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Every year a tree planting will be carried out in order to offset the festival\u2019s footprint and progressively contribute to the reforestation of our territory. We want to support small entities working on such projects in different regions.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"box-article__title box-article__title-body\" id=\"recommendations\"><strong>Recommendations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>HOW CAN I HELP?&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>ON YOUR TRAVEL:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>If you are coming from outside Madrid, the most sustainable public transport is the train.<\/li><li>If you are travelling by car, consider car-pooling.<\/li><li>Once in Madrid, the best option for getting to the venue is the Metro.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>AT THE FESTIVAL:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The cups are reusable: buy your own for \u20ac1.
